43% of daily new Covid-19 cases reported in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, 13 Jan -- Orang ramai terutamanya penduduk Selangor mengambil tanggungjawab untuk melakukan ujian saringan COVID-19 secara pandu lalu ketika tinjauan di sebuah klinik swasta di Seksyen 7 Shah Alam hari ini. Negeri Selangor dikenakan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) bermula hari ini sehingga 26 Januari 2021 ini ekoran peningkatan kes harian COVID-19 yang membimbangkan. The State of Selangor has been subjected to a Movement Control Order (MCO) from today until January 26, 2021 due to the increase in daily cases of COVID-19. UP to 1,606 or 43% of 3, 731 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Selangor as of noon yesterday.

This was followed by Johor (499) and Kuala Lumpur (372).

A total of  3,369 patients were discharged, pushing the cumulative number of total recoveries to 190,339.

To date, there are 51,241 active cases where 292 patients are currently seeking treatment in the intensive care units with 140 of them needing the respiratory aids.

15 new deaths were reported, pushing the number of cumulative deaths to 872.

The death cases today involved four (4) cases in Selangor, three (3) cases each in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Sabah, two (2) cases in Sarawak, and one (1) case each in Penang, Kedah, and Johor. All death cases involved Malaysians.
