BANK Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB) in partnership with Pusat Pungutan Zakat (PPZ)-MAIWP recently contributed approximately RM25,000 worth of food to the asnaf community of Perumahan Awam Seri Perak, Sentul and Sungai Bonus.
Packs of basic dry and wet food were presented to the community under the “Projek Bakul Rezeki Khaira PPZ-BPMB” and “Projek Lori Rezeki Khaira PPZ-BPMB” respectively.
BPMB president and group CEO Arshad Mohamed Ismail (picture) said this collaboration was one of its efforts to carry out its duties as a responsible financial institution to aid the less fortunate, especially those affected by Covid-19.
“This is our very first collaboration with PPZ-MAIWP and we hope that our humble contribution can help ease the burden of those in need.
“We are hopeful for a lasting partnership with PPZ-MAIWP as we remain committed to continue giving back to the society,” he said at the donation presentation ceremony today.
