Ahmad Jazlan resigns as MPOB chairman

MACHANG MP Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakob has tendered his resignation as the chairman of Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) today.

The resignation will take effect on January 6, Ahmad Jazlan said in a statement.

”I have submitted my resignation letter to the minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Datuk Dr Khairuddin Aman Razali in his office just now,” Ahmad Jazlan said.

Ahmad Jazlan, who is also the former Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, has been appointed to the post effective April 8, 2020.

He succeeded Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh who served until March 31, 2020. — TMR
