The government has decided to extend Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) nationwide until March 31, says Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Ismail Sabri said in a statement today that the decision was made due to steady rise of Covid-19 cases in the country, upon Health Ministry’s advice.
The increase in the number of cases were due to obligatory screening on foreign workers and the virus spread in the community, especially in the Klang Valley and several states.
According to the minister, the RMCO has been gazetted under the Federal Gazette.
As such, all rules and regulations under the RMCO will remain with exception of tourism activities, that will be based by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC)’s previous announcement, but it must adhere to strict SOPs. — TMR/ Pix by Arif Kartono
