MORE than 1,000 young graduates are expected to gain exposure in the construction industry under the MYJob@Wilayah scheme which aims, among others, to provide temporary employment opportunities to those affected by Covid-19.

Thirty developers are taking part in the scheme, said Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa (picture).

“God willing, about 1,000 or more young graduates are expected to be exposed to the construction industry under the MyJob@ WilayahPrihatin scheme with the cooperation of more than 30 developers in the Federal Territories,” he said in a Twitter post on Monday.

Speaking to Bernama, Annuar said the developers included Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd, JL99 Development Sdn Bhd, Mah Sing Group Bhd, Platinum Victory Sdn Bhd, Ekovest Construction Sdn Bhd and Binastra Land Sdn Bhd.

“As of September 2020, 653 positions have been offered,” he said.

Launched in July under the Wilayah Prihatin plan, the scheme offers employment opportunity in five other fields, namely services, maintenance, cleaning, manufacturing and packaging.
