Damanlela construction site infects up to 6 generations


THE Damanlela construction site detects 567 Covid-19 cases today, bringing Kuala Lumpur (KL) to record the highest number of cases with 696.

According to Health DG Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah the Damanlela site cluster had spread to six generations.

Malaysia reported  a total of 1,772 new Covid-19 positive cases, with 12 import cases.

Three fatalities were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 422.

There are 14,515 active cases being treated nationwide and cumulative cases have rose to to 86,618. 

He said that 1,084 recoveries were also recorded during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 71,681 or 83.2 per cent of the total number of cases.

Apart from KL,  other states with high number of cases are Selangor (503) and Sabah (260). — TMR
