Voting result for MoF’s allocation revised

THE result of bloc voting for the Finance Ministry’s allocation at was revised due to miscounting.

Deputy Dewan Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon said Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shabudin Yahaya, the teller for Block C, has miscounted his faction and included Padang Rengas MP Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz in the list of MPs who are in favour of the allocation.

Mohd Rashid said that Mohamed Nazri was one of the absentees during the voting.

MPs who were in favour of the allocation were amended to 106 instead of 107 while those who were against it remained at 95.

Earlier, Dewan Rakyat sitting was interrupted and suspended for 15 minutes following a fire warning.

Dewan Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun said the cause of the incident is being investigated.
