Malaysian lawmakers have approved the Finance Ministry ‘s allocation at the committee stage tabled under the Supply Bill (Budget) 2021.
The allocation was passed in a bloc voting which resulted in 107 for and 95 voted against the bill.
18 MPs were absent in the sitting.
During the tabling of Budget 2021 earlier this month, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz announced RM35.15 billion will be reserved for the ministry.
The ministry sees an RM1.24 billion reduction for its allocation next year compared to the approved allocation for 2020.
