THE government is expected to table the details on the proposed highway concessionaire takeover to the cabinet by mid-December this year.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith said the government is still reviewing the proposal which takes into account its financial impact on the country and other viable options.

For the privatisation of PLUS Malaysia Bhd, he added that the decision has not been reached and is still under review.

“The negotiation with PLUS Malaysia is still being discussed as it is a sensitive matter such as balancing the aspect of raising the toll fare as well as concession period and the financial impact on the consumers and government,” he told Dewan Rakyat today.
