ENTERTAINMENT centre activities make up the highest number of Movement Control Order (MCO) violations with 96 arrests, out of the 381 total arrests made yesterday.
In a statement, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (picture) said of the total arrests, 377 individuals were compounded while four individuals were remanded.
Other offences included not wearing face masks (80), failure to practice physical distancing (69), failure to provide equipment to record customers’ details (57), interstate or inter-district travel in Conditional MCO areas without permission (33) and others (46).
On Ops Benteng, 20 illegal immigrants and three smugglers were arrested while nine vehicles were seized.
A total of 35 sanitation operations were conducted in 10 states and two federal territories.
Also, 72,182 individuals have returned home from abroad between July 24 and Nov 21. Of that number, 9,855 individuals are undergoing mandatory quarantine while 404 individuals have been sent to hospitals for treatment. A total of 61,923 individuals were allowed to return home.
