MALAYSIA recorded 1,104 recoveries today, bringing the cumulative number of cases fully recovered from Covid-19 to 41,597 cases.
This is the second day in a row that the number of recoveries was higher than new positive cases reported which were 1,096.
Health DG Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the total new cases, only six were import cases and that there are now 12,843 active cases nationwide.
Selangor reported the highest number of cases at 603, followed by Sabah (311), Perak (55) while Pahang, Terengganu, Sarawak have no new cases.
Three deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 335. Currently, 106 cases are being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 46 of them intubated.
Three new clusters have been identified, namely the ‘Pengkalan Barat’, ‘Bakti’ and ‘Bayam Indah’ clusters.
Dr Noor Hisham also announced the end of four clusters today. They were the Kasih Cluster, Baiduri Cluster, Long Cluster and Bestari Cluster.
