LAZADA Malaysia is gearing up for its biggest annual campaign, the 11.11 sale festival, by assuring shoppers of the lowest prices on its platform or 11 times money-back guarantee.

The e-commerce giant said shoppers can expect both local and international brands on LazMall, as well as discounts on 70 million items.

Its CEO Leo Chow (picture; centre) said following LazMall’s upgrade in September 2020, the platform is excited to host many different brands as an exclusive e-commerce partner, while offering discounts across a variety of categories.

“This signifies a growing trust in our platform, and we are excited that we can bring some of the lowest price deals, ‘guaranteed’ this year, backed by our 11 times money-back guarantee.

“This year, especially during this challenging period, we want to ensure that we help our shoppers maximise their ringgit and get the best value for their money,” he told reporters at the virtual 11.11 press conference last week.

Chow said the platform will also guarantee its 24-hour LazMall deliveries, adding that some 50,000 shoppers can expect next-day deliveries in an aim to provide a more seamless and convenient experience.

“This is a promise made possible through Lazada’s data-driven and efficient logistics ecosystem back by Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, which has enabled 50% more efficiency in average delivery time in the Klang Valley area, and ensured timely deliveries across Malaysia,” Chow said.

Other special offers during the campaign will include shoppertainment features like the Lazada 11.11 Super Show, Lazada CDO Show, The Lazada Heartbeat Wallet Contest and a variety of LazGames.

“More than just products at remarkable discounts, we are also creating the ultimate shopping festival through our innovative shoppertainment features, which is aimed to entertain and reward shoppers, and empower sellers as we count down to the biggest sale of the year,” Chow said.

Chow also said the platform recently embarked on a corporate social responsibility initiative with brand partner Colgate-Palmolive Malaysia to support the needy through The Lost Food Project.

The initiative will be to reach out to 10,000 Malaysians through the sale of a #ColgateSendASmile Bundle that can be purchased at RM15 during the 11.11 Flash Sale on the platform.

“Each bundle consists of a Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush to help ensure healthy smiles. Upon payment, consumers will receive a special thank you note from Colgate, along with a Lazada voucher that can be used for their next purchase on the platform,” Chow said.

The platform also said with the extended Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period, shoppers can be assured of an ample supply of fresh groceries, frozen food and other daily necessities to meet rising demands in the community.

Lazada said its everyday retailers and suppliers are available and ready to take in the influx of items that will be purchased, while other essentials such as face masks, hand sanitisers, household goods, baby supplies and pet supplies are also regularly stocked up on the page during this time.

“Selected stores on the platform, including Cameron Farmers, iFresh and Sejadi will offer 48-hour deliveries to areas around the Klang Valley and particularly the ones affected by the CMCO,” it said.
