Malaysia’s active Covid-19 cases reach beyond 10,000

Malaysia reports 801 new cases as of noon today, bringing the total number of positive Covid-19 cases in Malaysia to 29,441.

The new cases recorded include two imported cases infected from abroad involving one citizen and one foreigner arriving from Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Eight new deaths were reported, bringing the total fatalities to 246 or 0.8% of the total number of cases.

Four new clusters were recorded, including Seri Gaya cluster in Sabah, Greenhill cluster in Sarawak, Idaman cluster in Selangor and Bayu cluster in Johor.

Sabah continued to contribute the highest number of new positive cases at 546.
