THE Social Security Organisation’s (Socso) Prihatin Screening Programme (PSP) has been extended to all Socso contributors in the states under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) effective today.

Currently, the expansion will be covering those in Sabah, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

Human Resources (HR) Minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan said employers can conduct free Covid-19 screening for employees through a service panel appointed by Socso.

Employers who are keen can make a screening appointment and submit complete information to the service panel.

A list of Socso service panels can be obtained in the services panel directory which is displayed on the portal via https://psp.perkeso.gov.my.

Saravanan said the screening process can be done at the clinic, laboratory or carried out at the work premises, and that only screening through the service panel is fully covered by Socso.

Additionally, Covid-19 screening can also be conducted with the Prihatin Screening Subsidy method whereby the costs are paid by the employer in advance.

Employers can apply for the Screening Subsidy through https://psp.perkeso.gov.my by enclosing a payment receipt, and Socso will make a subsidy repayment of up to RM150 for each employee who has undergone screening.

The minister said both facilities are to run through employers only, adding that access to PSP is open to both foreign and local workers in all industries.

“The expansion of PSP is open to foreign and local workers in all industries. Contributors who have previously undergone PSP screening may undergo re-screening in accordance with the announcement that has been made.

“Employers and employees are reminded to adhere to the standard operating procedures that have been set during the Covid-19 screening test, so that the process runs safely and is not exposed to the risk of infection,” he said.

The HR Ministry hoped that the facilities provided by Socso will be able to help curb Covid-19 transmissions in the country.
