The One Utama shopping complex, Bandar Utama and the Tropicana Golf and Country Resort in Petaling Jaya had been ordered to close from tomorrow following the spread of COVID-19 on their premises.
Petaling district Disaster Management Committee chairman, Johari Anuar said, to date, four positive COVID-19 cases were detected in One Utama involving a worker and a visitor.
Meanwhile, at the Tropicana Golf and Country Resort, five workers were also found positive COVID-19, he said.
“The closure of both premises starting tomorrow is for conducting screening tests on all close contacts and sanitations.
“The committee seeks the co-operation of the public visiting the cosmetics and perfume section on level G, Parkson Elite on Sept 30 to Oct 7 and Mac City on level two on Sept 25 until Sept 30 at One Utama to come forward for COVID-19 screening tests,’’ he said in a statement, today.
Johary said the Petaling district health office would conduct COVID-19 screening tests at One Utama on Wednesday and Thursday (Oct 14 and 15) from 9 am to 2 pm.
“Priority for screening test is for close contacts of the cases only, namely, visitors to the premises on the dates as stated,” he said.
Those with symptoms before the screening dates were asked to be present at a nearby health facility as soon as possible for examination and treatment, he added.
