Herbalife Collagen Plus Powder is created with an aim to help men and women of all ages obtain healthier skin

HERBALIFE Nutrition, a global multilevel marketing corporation that develops and sells dietary supplements, has ventured into the beauty health supplement line via the introduction of the Herbalife Collagen Plus Powder.
Herbalife Nutrition Malaysia GM and director Steven Chin (picture) said as a company focusing on changing lives with its science-backed nutrition, it is always looking for ways to keep customers healthy both inside and out.
He told The Malaysian Reserve the product is created with an aim to help men and women of all ages obtain healthier skin.
“The skin is the largest organ of our body, and just like every other organ, it is important that we take care of it as well.
“In essence, collagen keeps our skin firm, supple and moist. Our bodies are able to produce it while we are young. An adequate amount of collagen allows the skin to renew and repair itself,” he said.
While collagen drinks have been on the market for a number of years now, recent months have shown a growth in momentum and sales among men and women, as the benefits become more evident as people try to delay the ageing process.
Chin said the production of collagen gradually slows down in the process of ageing and the skin loses its natural elasticity and firmness.
“So this is the latest addition to our health supplement range, formulated after much research. We have a robust product development process guided by a scientific leadership team working in technical areas to assure the safety and quality of ingredients that go into our product,” Chin said.
One of the main ingredients is fish hydrolyzed collagen, made from low molecular collagen peptide, as well as CoQ10, vitamins C, B2, B3, B6, Biotin, Zinc, and Copper.
“These additional vitamins are added to further support the development of collagen and formation of antioxidants in our bodies, while also providing additional nutrients that are essential to healthy skin and hair,” he said.
According to Chin, there are various ways to actually boost the production of collagen through vitamins.
“Vitamin C plays a crucial role in protecting the skin and can be found in leafy greens, broccoli, papaya, citrus fruits and kiwi. Another popular element among Malaysians is ginseng, typically found in tea.
“Ginseng increases the amount of collagen in the bloodstream. And of course there’s hyaluronic acid which can be found in foods rich in amino acids like root vegetables, beans and soy,” Chin said.
He added that the company foresees good feedback from customers.

Meanwhile, the company also unveiled its new Vitamin Mask series on Sept 22 in three variants — Moisturising, Brightening, and Firming.
A new addition to the outer nutrition range of products, Chin said consumers have redefined outer beauty as natural glowing beauty and have shifted from cosmetics to basic skincare.
He said a strong demand was noticed for products that could help achieve healthy skin not just in Malaysia but around the world as well.
“With this product, we offer more skincare choices, putting the power of good nutrition into the hands of those who want to attain beautiful and healthy skin,” he said.
Each mask is formulated with a unique proprietary vitamin blend to cater to different skin needs, including a complex of 12 vitamins, Aloe Vera, Jeju Sea Salt and Jeju Rice Extract.
