SIME Darby Property Bhd’s Phase 1 of Embun 2 double-storey homes in Bandar Ainsdale, Seremban, Negri Sembilan, has received an impressive 90% take-up rate within two days of launch.

54 units of 60 units of the landed homes were sold during the Spotlight 8 weekend from Sept 19, 2020, to Sept 20, 2020, marking another win for the returning campaign that features New Launches and Superdeals on properties across different townships.

Sime Darby Property group MD Datuk Azmir Merican Azmi Merican said the group is enjoying the positive impact of the Home Ownership Campaign 2020 with overwhelming support shown by the public for new products under the Spotlight 8 campaign.

“Embun 2’s success comes after the good news that Embun 1, which was also launched this year, had been fully taken-up.

“The success of our launches shows that despite the soft property market, the sales campaign is well-received and that products we offer meet the current market demand for affordable and mid-range products,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Sime Darby Property kick-started the Spotlight 8 campaign for the year with the launch of Elmina Green Three in July.

All 218 units of Phase 1 Elmina Green Three homes were taken-up during the campaign.

In response to this demand, Phase 2 of the development was also offered during the first Spotlight 8 weekend and saw an additional 65 units taken-up during the launch.

Sime Darby Property said Spotlight 8 Year 2020 has drawn interest from not just within Malaysia, but also Hong Kong, Singapore, Brunei and the UK.

Recently, the developer’s landed homes of Serenia Ariya, in Serenia City, Sepang, Selangor, were sold out in one weekend.

All 202 units of Serenia Ariya Phase 1 and Phase 2 homes were sold during the launch period from Aug 29-31, 2020.

Sime Darby Property said the sales marks a clear demand for its freehold landed residential homes in the Greater Klang Valley.

The developer exceeded its sales target for 2019 contributed by the Spotlight 8 campaign, achieving total sales of RM3.1 billion for the year which is 35% higher than its target of RM2.3 billion.

It launched 2,917 units with a combined gross development value of RM2.3 billion in 2019. Its total unbilled sales stood at RM1.6 billion as at Dec 31, 2019.

For 2020, Sime Darby Property targets an RM1.4 billion to RM1.6 billion of sales, lower than its initial target of RM2.3 billion due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
