THE Suria KLCC group has unveiled its “Welcome Back” campaign in light of the Covid-19 pandemic by embracing the “Safe & Easy” theme for the patrons.

The campaign is aimed at promoting the mall as a safe shopping destination, as well as to increase the public’s awareness and confidence.

As part of the groups’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, it will collaborate with Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ), a social enterprise operating for those within the bottom 40% (B40) income group.

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd CEO Andrew Brien said the collaboration would see KTJ producing a reusable batik-design fabric mask, sewn by the underprivileged households in the Klang Valley.

“Our CSR collaboration with KTJ leads to a good turnout and participation of shoppers as they are increasingly looking to engage with purpose-driven brands that empower them to make a difference and to connect them emotionally with a cause they would want to support,” he said in a statement.

According to Brien, shoppers will be given complimentary essential kits consisting of the hand-sewn fabric mask and alcohol-based sanitising hand wipes.

“We will distribute 50 units daily to shoppers and prioritise the elderly, pregnant ladies, families with kids and the disabled.

“From Oct 2 till Dec 31, 2020, we want to welcome back families with kids aged between six and 12, by handing out customised face shields. Our friendly staff at the concierge will give out 50 units each day. The face shields will have customised stickers and art to show that practising safety measures can be fun while educating children on its importance,” Brien added.

Other rewards will include parking rebates for shoppers from Aug 7 until Sept 6, 2020, worth RM10 with any amount spent at any specialty stores. “We will also be giving out RM50 shopping vouchers and RM10 dining vouchers from participating stores starting Aug 7 until Sept 6, 2020, daily from 5pm-8pm with no spending amount required,” he said.

Meanwhile, Alamanda Putrajaya has also launched “We Are with You” campaign and will be giving out batik-design fabric masks with minimal spending of RM50 in a single receipt. Mesra Mall Kerteh will also embrace the same campaign from Aug 10 until Nov 24, 2020, with its fabric masks giveaway as well as balloons for children over the weekend.
