The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) has appointed Rizal Nainy as CEO of SME Corp Malaysia, effective July 21, 2020.
Rizal will steer and strengthen SME Corp’s operations and services in progressing and developing local SMEs, MEDAC said in a statement yesterday.
Rizal joined SME Corp on June 1, 2016 as chief officer of implementation and monitoring, overseeing SME development programmes in Malaysia.
His experience includes six years in the strategic transformation field under the Prime Minister’s Department.
He also spent 16 years with Royal Dutch Shell plc globally and locally, holding various positions and having professional expertise encompassing the oil and gas downstream retail business.
Rizal graduated from the Imperial College, University of London in Mechanical Engineering and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University, Australia.
