Glomac Bhd has appointed Datuk Bazlan Osman as its new director, an appointment which was made effective on July 24, 2020.
Bazlan’s extensive experience in leadership and senior management roles spans from strategy to business development, financial management and operations.
The 56-year-old is also experienced in mergers and acquisitions in various sectors, one being the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector, diversified conglomerates, financial services and agro-based industry.
Currently, he also sits on the Citibank Bhd, Fima Corp Bhd and Universiti Utara Malaysia’s boards, while also being the GITN Sdn Bhd chairman.
In addition, he also chairs the Professional Accountants in Business Committee, and a council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and holds the deputy chairman position at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Malaysian Advisory Committee.
Previously, Bazlan was the ED of Telekom Malaysia Bhd from April 2008 until February 2019, as well as the group CFO from May 2005 until April 2017, when he was promoted to the group deputy CEO.
He had also served Celcom Malaysia Bhd as senior VP, Corporate Finance and Treasury in 2001 before he was promoted to CFO the following year
