Kwasa Land appoints KC Yam chairman

KWASA Land Sdn Bhd, a fully-held unit of the Employees Provident Fund, has appointed Datuk Seri Michael KC Yam (picture) as its chairman effective June 1, 2020, following the retirement of Tan Sri Samsudin Osman. Yam has been a board member of the company since March 2011, Kwasa Land said in a statement yesterday. Yam is currently the MD and CEO of Impetus Alliance Advisors Sdn Bhd, an advisory firm he founded in 2008.

He is also chairman of InvestKL Corp, past president and patron of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association of Malaysia, senior independent director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd and Paramount Corp Bhd, and independent non-ED of Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd and Standard Chartered Saadiq Bhd.

Yam graduated in Building and Management Studies from the University of Westminster, UK, and qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building.
