COVID-19: SOP on foreign worker quarters established – Ismail Sabri

The government has established the standard operating procedure (SOP) for foreign worker quarters and rumah kongsi in the country as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (picture) said both premises have the SOP set up by the Human Resource Ministry.

He said foreign worker quarters were placed under the supervision of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) while rumah kongsi was under the supervision of the Human Resource Ministry.

“Both premises have SOPs relating to living space, floor area, gathering place, number of individuals living and so on,” he said.

He told the daily media conference on the development of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) here today.
