Ilham Aliyev made the opening speech at the Summit followed by an address from the President of the United Nations General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.

This was followed by video messages from the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat.

A video message from the EU Commission Vice-President Josep Borrell was also featured before the summit continued with speeches from heads of NAM countries.
