Pasar Raja Bot in Chow Kit here will be closed from tomorrow until May 13 to make way for COVID-19 disinfection operation and health screening tests on traders.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said the market will be closed for 14 days on the order of the Health Ministry.
“Following the closure of the premises for the COVID-19 disinfection work and screening of the traders , the market was ordered to halt its operations and activities.
“The directive is in accordance with the Local Government Act 1976, Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within the Infectious Territory) 2020 and is subject to changes in the order from time to time,” he said in a notice posted on the Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) Facebook page, today.
He said the notice was applicable during the implementation of the Movement Control Order.
