NOTION VTec Bhd units have received approval from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to operate during the Movement Control Order (MCO) subject to conditions.
Notion VTec units, Notion Venture Sdn Bhd and Notion International (M) Sdn Bhd, have received approval letters from MITI dated April 7 to restart operations, Notion VTec stated in an exchange filing yesterday.
Among the conditions to restart partial operations include requiring both subsidiaries to reduce the number of workers to a minimum or at most 50% of the current or registered number, for its manufacturing production during the period of the MCO, and the units must also establish a work from home system for employees who are not involved in critical manufacturing activities.
The units are also required to meet the requests and needs for products or services wholly for the local market.
Other conditions include the units are required to furnish a list of employees who are involved in the production during the MCO to MITI and also to ensure the movement of these employees is restricted from home to the units’ factory or premises only.
