Dubai carrier Emirates Airlines has suspended all passenger flights from March 25, 2020, including flights to Kuala Lumpur.

In a statement today, the airline said the suspension was in line with the United Arab Emirates government’s directive to protect communities against the spread of COVID-19, adding that it will resume passenger services as soon as possible.

In the meantime, Emirates will continue deploying its fleet of Boeing 777 freighters, bolstering international air cargo links for the transport of vital goods, including medical supplies and food, around the world, it said.

Currently, Emirates connects Kuala Lumpur to its Dubai hub with 21 weekly flights.
