Resorts World Genting (RWG) will be closed temporarily from March 18-31, 2020, following the Movement Control Order announcement yesterday.

In a statement today, it said that the closure encompasses all of its hotel facilities, food and beverage outlets, casino, Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, entertainment facilities, attractions, shopping malls as well as retail outlets at RWG.

“Essential resort-based services such as security, Fire and Rescue Department, utilities and clinics will remain operational during this period,” it said in a statement today.

It added that all reservations during the period have been cancelled and guests may seek for a refund or change their reservation dates.

“The same applies for reservations made at Resorts World Awana, Resorts World Kijal and Resorts World Langkawi.

“Guests who have purchased tickets to any of our attractions or shows at the resort will also be refunded,” it added.

It said that customers can contact the RWG call centre at 03-27181118 for further assistance or any queries with regards to the refunds.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced a nationwide Movement Control Order starting from tomorrow until March 31 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which is enforced under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967.
