Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council’s Zakat Collection Centre (PPZ-MAIWP) will be taking proactive measures in ensuring that the health of its customers and staff are taken care of due to the increase of Covid-19.

“In an effort to curb the pandemic, all PPZ-MAIWP offices and branches will be closed from tomorrow to March 31,” its CEO Ahmad Shukri Yusoff said in a statement.

However, all zakat payments and statement-checking can be done online via www.zakat.com.my.

Zakat payments can also be done through online agents such as internet banking, MyEG and PayHalal.

“We hope this measure can help the government in addressing the Covid-19 outbreak in the country,” Ahmad Shukri added.
