Alamanda Shopping Centre hosts fun-filled VIKids Carnival

The carnival aims to create a healthy, safe and dynamic environment for children to learn and play

ALAMANDA Shopping Centre in Putrajaya is hosting the VIKids Carnival from March 13 to March 22, with games, activities and shows to be enjoyed by children of all ages.

Featuring vibrant red and white circus tents, children will be able to witness stunts of stilt walkers, acrobats and jugglers, as well as the intriguing tricks of magicians and balloon sculpting clowns.

Organised by the VIKids Club, the carnival is aimed at creating a healthy, safe and dynamic environment for children to learn and play, and serve as a great platform for parents to bond with their children.

They can try their hands at games such as the Ring Toss to sharpen their aim in getting the rings around the pegs; Topple the Cans, which is a popular activity at carnivals; practise their aim by throwing coloured balls into matching coloured boxes at the Match the Colour game; and test their athletic talents with Basketball Mania.

Children and parents can express their creativity with face painting and create their very own masterpieces at the sand art workshop.

Children will also be treated to free cotton candy, a must-have carnival snack. Subsequently, to burn off the energy is a giant inflatable slide.

Winners of games will receive a token for every game played on weekends and double tokens on the weekdays, with which they may redeem gifts from a claw machine.

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd CEO Andrew Brien said Alamanda has always had its shoppers’ and visitors’ interests at heart and with the VIKids Club in place, it can entertain children in surrounding localities with wholesome, healthy and fun-filled activities.

“Through this effort, we offer parents and children an exciting time with a myriad of activities and entertainment. The carnival is poised to engage local communities through fun and games, in a pleasant and safe setting as that of Alamanda,” he added.

Membership for the VIKids Club is open for children aged five to 12.

Members are regularly updated on activities held at Alamanda, welcome gifts, birthday treats, promotions, exclusive invitations to events and mystery gifts.

With a minimum spend of RM50 in a single receipt at any specialty stores, shoppers will receive free VIKids Club membership.

Members who spend RM250 and above, and non-members who spend RM350 and above at any speciality store in two receipts will receive a 42-piece art set.

To ensure safety and health, all children entering and leaving the carnival will need to sanitise their hands. The carnival will also be closed twice daily from 9am to 10am and 4pm to 5pm for cleaning and disinfecting purposes.

In addition, the area will also be sanitised daily before it is opened to the public and after it ends.
