REALME Malaysia has officially launched Realme C3, its first smartphone equipped with MediaTek Helio G70 processor technology in Malaysia.

The smartphone is priced at RM499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration, and comes in the colours of Blazing Red and Frozen Blue.

The model is created in response to users’ need for strong performance, ultra-long battery life, beautiful display and better camera technology, Realme brand manager Tiffany Teh said.

“We are very proud to add another exciting addition to the Realme C series family, bringing more colours to Malaysians,” she said at the launch in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The Realme C3 is an eight-core 12nm processor that clocks up to 2.0 GHz and has a MediaTek gaming technology for optimal network latency.

With an efficient, high-performance ARM Mali-G52 GPU, it is ideal for mainstream smartphone users and elite mobile gamers.

It is also equipped with a display latency optimisation of MediaTek Helio G70, which provides a faster response time and more accurate screen control.

Users will get to experience better screen contrast and brighter output, while gaming and watching videos due to the phone’s premium picture quality.

What is unique about the Realme C3 is its 12MP+2MP+2MP triple rear camera set-up. The rear main camera has an F1.8 large aperture, a large 1.25µm pixel size that can zoom up to four times and supports PDAF autofocus, while the 4cm super macro lens will give more details when shooting tiny objects.

Other features include Chroma Boost, portrait mode and slow-motion video recording, which is difficult to find in this segment.

The smartphone also has the biggest display in this segment with a 6.5-inch high definition and mini drop display, which is 30.9% smaller than the normal dewdrop.

As for high-speed connections, the phone features a dual WiFi that allows it to switch to the optimal band with a faster connection.

Featuring a 5000mAh battery, it also supports reverse charging which means the smartphone can charge other devices like a power bank.

The Realme C3 is now available on Shopee, while offline sales of the smartphone will start nationwide on March 7, 2020.

In 2019, Realme garnered immense support from the Malaysian market, particularly among young consumers, Teh said.

“Realme Malaysia has achieved a quarter-on-quarter growth of 865% with a market share of 7.5% at the moment and we are still growing,” she added.

Realme is a Chinese smartphone maker based in Shenzhen. It began as a sub-brand of Oppo, also a smartphone manufacturer, but has been spun off into its own separate brand, though it continues to operate under Oppo’s parent, BBK Electronics Corp.
