PUSAT Pungutan Zakat-Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP) has announced winners for its Year End Zakat (YEZ) campaign which was held throughout December last year.
The organisation said the campaign’s objective is to raise awareness among the Muslim community of the services and facilities of the latest zakat payment channel provided by PPZ-MAIWP.
“In addition, the campaign is also to remind the community to review the zakat payment that may or may not have been cleared or to increase the amount of zakat income such as bonuses, pay increases, commissions or side income by the zakat rate of 2.5%,” it said.
PPZ-MAIWP via the campaign has also advised those who were incurred with income tax to pay their zakat by Dec 31, 2019, in order to receive the rebate for 2020.
“Various attractive gifts are offered to those who payed via PPZMAIWP, whereby the organisation has announced 30 winners for categories such as the YEZ 2019 campaign Grand Prize, Loyal Payer, Zakat Companions, Zakat Collection Agent and Mobile Zakat Counter,” it said.
