PRUDENTIAL BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN) is committed in broadening awareness on family takaful plans, as well as increasing the takaful penetration rate and narrowing the protection gap of Malaysians.
Towards this end, PruBSN has pledged its support for the “Race For Cover: Towards Takaful 2020” campaign organised by the Malaysian Takaful Association by promoting its PruBSN AnugerahPlus plan.
PruBSN deputy CEO Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail (picture) said the takaful plan, launched in January 2019, is an affordable and customisable Shariah-compliant solution which allows customers to obtain their ideal protection plan based on their needs and budget.
“PruBSN AnugerahPlus is one of PruBSN’s most popular flagship products with a total of over 74,000 subscribers so far. Customers can take advantage of the various supplementary benefits to build a complete protection plan for themselves,” he said in a statement yesterday.
According to Wan Saifulrizal, the plan offers “Medic Protector”, an affordable medical plan which covers the cost of hospitalisation, surgery or selected outpatient treatments with no lifetime limit, as well as the “Medic Booster”, which increases the annual limit by RM1 million.
As extra protection, customers can enhance their plan with critical illness rider which pays out a lump sum amount when a patient is diagnosed with up to 43 listed critical illnesses, he said.
“PruBSN AnugerahPlus can help plug this financial gap with Cancer Protector rider, which provides customers with a lump sum payment of 5% and 10% of the coverage amount upon early-stage cancer in the first and second certificate year onwards.
“Meanwhile, the Ihsan rider allows customers to donate as low as RM5 per month to help alleviate the financial hardship of extremely poor families,” he said. — Bernama
