Special ASEAN-China Foreign Minister’s meeting on COVID-19 in Laos tomorrow


Foreign Ministers of ASEAN and China will exchange views and explore ways and means of cooperation in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak in a special meeting in Vientiane, Laos tomorrow.

Wisma Putra in a statement today said that the Malaysian delegation to the special meeting would be led by Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

He will be accompanied by senior officials from his ministry and the Ministry of Health.

All ASEAN Foreign Ministers and China State Councillor and Foreign Affairs Minister are expected to attend the meeting.

Prior to this, Saifuddin was reported to have said that the meeting would reflect ASEAN’s solidarity with China in managing the outbreak.
