PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd opened a Petronas Auto Expert service centre in the Glenmarie Industrial Area in Shah Alam — the first in Selangor.

The service centre is run by its partner, Dream Car Performance Garage Sdn Bhd.

Dream Car Performance Garage MD Tan Chee Kit said the one-stop centre offers high-quality service, with priority on Petroliam Nasional Bhd’s (Petronas) lubricants, to its customers.

“Some motorists prefer independent workshops (instead of authorised workshops). So, we take this opportunity to provide them with the best possible service. We also use Brabus GmbH’s spare parts and want them to grow in Malaysia.

“We are also planning to open several Petronas Auto Expert service centres, particularly in the northern and southern regions, in the coming years,” Bernama quoted Tan as saying after officiating the opening of the Petronas Auto Expert service centre yesterday.

Tan said the service centre could service up to 20 vehicles at a time, and Glenmarie was chosen as it is a strategic location and an automotive hub in the Klang Valley.

The service centre provides the latest equipment for a comprehensive vehicle servicing using Petronas’ high-quality products, including premium engine oil, and the latest servicing technology, including wheel balancing and alignment, lubricant change and brake inspection — at competitive prices.

A comfortable waiting area is provided while customers wait for their vehicles.

Last April, Petronas VP of marketing and downstream business Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir reportedly said the firm aims to launch 100 centres in Malaysia, with more expected to be established across 30 countries in the next five years.

“Our target markets include China, which we see as having a large potential with very good opportunities,” he said.

According to him, Petronas welcomes potential partners in its bid to open 100 such service centres nationwide.

“Those with the expertise and experience in this area and are keen to bring our brand to life, we will support in various aspects including marketing and branding, technical training and consulting, as well as innovative tools and equipment,” he added. — TMR
