TM partners Korean FNSV to distribute blockchain secure authentication solutions

TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd (TM) has emerged as the sole distributor of FNSV Blockchain Secure Authentication (BSA) products and solutions in Malaysia.

FNSV Co Ltd is a Korean company that offers the world’s first patented solution based on blockchain technology named The Guardian-CCS 1.0 (G-CCS).

Through the partnership with FSNV, TM would provide passwordless authentication that is simple to use, secure and an impenetrable solution for Asean market.

“We are fully aware that cybersecurity is always among the top priorities for businesses, organisations and government. Towards this end, we are excited to partner a wellknown global player such as FNSV to provide advanced managed security services to our customers, from both enterprise and public sectors,” TM group CEO Datuk Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin (picture) said in a statement yesterday.

He said TM will continue to lay the foundation for Industrial Revolution 4.0 and rolling out 5G nationwide through innovative and comprehensive products, serving a digital society and lifestyle, businesses and also digital government.

TM ONE, the group’s enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, and FNSV are set to collaborate on the technology and business development for BSA solutions.

It will be based on FNSV’s G-CCS 1.0 for Malaysia, Asean and other potential markets on web, mobile, Internet of Things, 5G and other types of medium authentication and certification services.

“Our mission to introduce G-CCS 1.0 to the world will be one step closer with TM, a highly reputable service provider in Asean as our strategic partner. We are confident that this collaboration will benefit both parties in terms of technology sharing and joint marketing when Malaysia becomes the regional hub for BSA,” FNSV CEO Jeon Seung-Ju said in the statement.

TM also said the partnership would help other sectors address the changing cyber threat landscape and raise the resilience of national cybersecurity.

Noor Kamarul said the strategic partnership allows TM ONE to offer advanced cybersecurity services for businesses that require enhanced protection and compliance with regulatory requirements such as Risk Management in Technology and Personal Data Protection Act.

He added that the group has made significant investment and effort to strengthen its cybersecurity products and solutions under TM ONE Cyber Defence Centre, or CYDEC programme, powered by TM’s Global Security Operation Centre and a robust cybersecurity platform.

The BSA services are part of TM ONE’s Application Managed Security, under CYDEC.

TM said there is possible future integration for BSA solution for e-government and public services including financial services, national identity card, national passport, driving licence and many other applications in automotive, manufacturing, healthcare and aviation industries.
