MALAYSIAN Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will organise a Review and Outlook Seminar (R&O Seminar) 2020 on Jan 16, at Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur to disseminate information regarding the performance of the Malaysian oil palm industry in 2019, market prospects and price outlook for this year.
The seminar will also focus on the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil and the way forward for the local palm oil, as well as trade development and its impact on the commodity.
MPOB DG Dr Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir (picture) will present a lead paper on the performance of the Malaysian palm oil industry.
Meanwhile, palm oil expert Dr James Fry of LMC International Ltd will deliver a paper on market prospect and price outlook of the palm oil.
Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok will officiate the seminar, which is one of MPOB’s platforms to provide latest updates on the development of the palm oil industry.
“Participants will be able to explore opportunities and enhance their knowledge as the seminar will be a platform for them to widen their network,” said Ahmad Parveez.
Local industry players, exporters, economists, policymakers and academicians are encouraged to participate in this seminar.
