IN COMMEMORATION of its 25th anniversary in operation, Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) published its coffee-table book entitled “Spurring the Nation” yesterday.
This special bilingual publication summarises IWK’s history since its inception in 1994 and makes record of important milestones throughout the company’s operation.
The publication was officiated by IWK chairman Amiruddin Abdul Aziz, witnessed by National Water Services Commission CEO Datuk Ahmad Faizal Abdul Rahman and IWK CEO Narendran Maniam.
In his speech, Narendran said IWK not only turned 25 but also obtained achievements that helped improve the company’s service efficiency.
“Throughout the 25 years, IWK overcame various challenges and etched milestones in its history. Despite all the obstacles, IWK employees remain committed to ensure the efficiency of the country’s sewerage system.
“I would also like to express my appreciation to the media and all stakeholders, especially to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources. Without all your support, we would not have been able to do our job well,” he said.
