POS Malaysia Bhd is collaborating with Primeworks Studio and WAU Animation in issuing the Ejen Ali limited edition stamp series, in conjunction with the RM20 million blockbuster film of Ejen Ali: The Movie which was released on Nov 28 this year.
It is considered the hottest Malaysian animation movie playing in cinemas right now, dominating the local box office by raking in RM1.86 million and beating the popular international film Frozen 2.
Ejen Ali: The Movie is a Malaysian computer-animated spyfiction action film. The film follows teenage Ejen Ali as he uncovers a mystery that threatens the city of Cyberaya by risking loyalty to his secret agency Meta Advance Tactical Agency. The movie boasted excellent reviews from viewers, marking a new milestone for Primeworks studio.
Pos Malaysia’s group CEO Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor said: “The Ejen Ali: The Movie special edition stamps is the first ever animation movie to be featured on local postage stamps. We will continue to open up opportunities to young entrepreneurs and local talents to promote creativity and inspire the younger generations. Our aim is to encourage fans young and old to collect stamps as collectibles.”
The special edition stamps will feature 10 main characters from Ejen Ali: The Movie which include Ejen Ali, Ejen Alicia, Ejen Comot, Ejen Bakar, Ejen Rizwan, Ejen Fit, Ejen Bobby, General Rama & Kawan-Kawan, Niki and Pengganas.
This limited-edition stamp series will be made available at the price of RM35 per set consisting of a stamp sheet with 10 stamps, envelope, postcard and folder with all 10 characters of Ejen Ali: The Movie.
