PIZZA Hut Malaysia is expected to introduce more products while keeping abreast with the latest in digital innovations, in line with its effort to remain ahead of the competition.
Pizza Hut Malaysia CMO Jean Ler said the new innovations would be introduced in the coming year’s campaign, while the brand continues to evolve to keep the customers interested.
“Pizza Hut has changed quite a bit. For instance, we have a digital kiosk in our Sunway Pyramid which was launched two years ago.
“We want to make sure that our customers can order pizza conveniently. There are three ways for them — via the website, mobile website and the Pizza Hut app. So, we continue to improve on that,” she told The Malaysian Reserve at the brand’s year-end launch of the Black Volcano Pizza at its Pavilion Elite outlet yesterday.
Ler added that one of the ways for the brand to stay relevant is by capturing the interest of young people to dine in Pizza Hut.
“For us, to engage with young people, we need to have initiatives such as our previous marketing campaign with The Singing Pizza that combines both food and music,” she said.
“The Black Volcano Pizza”, the latest product innovation, has a cheese-filled volcano crusts baked with charcoal-infused pizza dough and topped with crispy chicken pops.
Ler said it took the company nine months to perfect the Black Volcano Pizza before it was introduced to the public.
“Public response is expected to be overwhelming because eating out is definitely a Malaysian thing that will not slow down,” she added.
The volcanic themed limited- edition pizza is available in all Pizza Hut outlets until Dec 31.
Earlier in April, Pizza Hut officiated its 400th store in i-City Shah Alam and plans to open 60 stores nationwide within the next three years, making it one of the top largest food chains in Malaysia.
