BMW introduces new X3 with M Sport package

The new locally assembled X3 with M Sport package is limited to only 120 units nationwide

BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd introduced the new BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package to further excite buyers into the premium midsize SUV.

Priced at RM328,800, the new locally assembled X3 with M Sport package is limited to only 120 units nationwide.

The M Sport variant of the model is tagged at RM15,000 higher than the BMW X3 xDrive30i unit which costs RM313,800.

The new BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package can be owned with monthly instalment plans starting from RM 3,758 (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure) under the carmaker’s financial programme.

“Joining the BMW 330i M Sport introduced last week, the BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package will be assembled at our facility in Kulim, illustrating that our commitment to Malaysia will only continue to grow as we expand the line-up of locally assembled BMW vehicles here,” MD Harald Hoelzl said in a statement.

Hoelzl said the company has delivered over 1,600 units of the third generation X3 since last year.

The new variant in the X3 portfolio, the BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package, features 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke style 699 M with mixed and run-flat tyres, the M Sport suspension, M Sport brake and M Aerodynamic body styling.

The interior is fitted with the M Sport leather steering wheel and door sill finishers with M designation.

M-specific pedals add to the sporty touch with Vernasca leather upholstery with contrast stitching.

Dubbed a sports activity vehicle (SAV), the BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package is equipped with a 10.25 inch touchscreen navigation system professional, the iDrive touch and a HiFi system with 12 speakers.

Under the hood, the BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package is powered by four cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine which produces a maximum output of 252hp at 5,200rpm to 6,500rpm, and a peak torque of 350Nm at 1,450rpm to 4,800rpm.

The BMW X3 xDrive30i with M Sport package can sprint to 100kph from standstill in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 240kph.

The BMW X3 is the pioneer of the mid-sized premium SAV and has been leading the segment on a global market, among other SUV line-ups including X1, X2, X4, X5 and X7.
