Protasco Berhad has announced the passing of the company chairman and director, Tan Seri Dr Hadenan A Jalil who has been with the company for nine years.
Dr Hadenan, aged 73, passed away at noon today (18 September 2019) at his house in Sungai Buloh, Selangor with his family by his side, according to the Protasco in a statement.
“On behalf of the company, I would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for all of Tan Sri’s contributions throughout the years that he has been with Protasco. He was not only our beloved Chairman but also the head of our Protasco family. His presence and visionary leadership will be missed by all of us,” said Executive Vice Chairman and Group Managing Director Datuk Seri Ir Chong Ket Pen.
Dr Hadenan was a former Auditor General from 2000 until 2006.
He spent his early years as a civil servant under various government ministries, including as Deputy Secretary General (Trade) for Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and Secretary General at the Ministry of Works.
Upon retirement as the Auditor General, he went on to serve in public companies such as Unilever (M) Holding Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission, PNB Commercial Sdn Bhd, Malayan Banking Berhad and Protasco Berhad.
