KNM bags RM53m contract in Thailand
KNM Group has secured a contract worth US$12.74 million(RM53 million) for the supply of big size CS/CLD columns and vessels up to 60MM for the Clean Fuel Project at the existing major oil refinery in Sriracha, Chonburi, on the east coast of Thailand as operated by Thai Oil Public Co Ltd.In a filing exchange yesterday, KNM noted the order was received from PSS Netherlands BV Sharjah Branch. KNM added the supply and delivery duration of the contract is for a period not exceeding 12 months.

TDM acknowledges plantation land in Indonesia affected by fire
TDM Bhd has acknowledged the Indonesian authorities have sealed off its its subsidiary’s plantation land in the republic due to fire. In an exchange filing yesterday, TDM noted some 1,201 hectares belonging to PT Rafi Kamajaya Abadi (PTRKA) had been affected by fire that has been extinguished. TDM said the sealing off of the affected areas is a normal procedure by the Indonesian authorities to ensure the affected areas are secured and investigation can be carried out accordingly. TDM said PTRKA had been working and will continue to work closely with local authorities, fire brigade and villagers in monitoring hot spots and joint operations for fire prevention and fire fighting purposes, and it has allocated resources, including equipment and personnel, for the surveillance and extinguishing of fires. TDM noted it was assessing the actual financial and operational impact on PTRKA and the group arising from the fire incident.
Genting’s unit to establish RM10b medium term notes
Genting Bhd’s unit Genting RMTN, has made a lodgement with the Securities Commission for the establishment of a medium term notes (MTN) programme of RM10 billion in nominal value. In an exchange filing yesterday, the gaming giant noted the MTNs to be issued by Genting RMTN pursuant will be irrevocably and unconditionally guaranteed by Genting. The MTN programme has been assigned an initial long-term rating of AAA(s) by RAM Rating Services Bhd. Genting stated the net proceeds from the MTN programme shall be utilised for the operating expenses, capital expenditure, investment, refinancing, working capital requirements, general funding requirements and/or other general corporate purposes of Genting group.
