MINI Malaysia has introduced the exclusive MINI 60 Years edition to commemorate its six decades of iconic design and thrilling go-kart handling.

With only 60 units available, the MINI 60 is a one-of-a-kind collector’s model that is packed full of exclusive features, design and innovation The exclusive features include the anniversary-specific bonnet stripes, logo projection, door sill, walknappa leather steering wheel, leather lounge in dark maroon, interior surface and exclusive 17-inch light alloy wheels in the 60 years spoke two-tone with run-flat tyres version.

BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd MD Harald Hoelzl said the exclusive model pays tribute to MINI’s British racing pedigree and paves the way for a new era. “Captivating from every angle, the MINI 60 edition radiates style and attitude — with a nod to the past, while looking towards an exciting future,” he said in a release yesterday.

The special edition is exclusively available in Malaysia in the MINI Cooper S 3-door variant, featuring the new British racing green with pepper white roof and mirror caps.

The MINI 60 edition also boasts a two-litre four-cylinder MINI twinpower turbo engine capable of accelerating from zero to 100kph in 6.7 seconds. Complete with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission steptronic sports transmission, the MINI 60 edition generates 192hp and a peak torque of 280Nm.

The exclusive model has a top speed of 235kph, while consuming only 5.5 litres of fuel per 100km and emits 125 g/km of carbon dioxide.

Its sports suspension settings are designed for performance-oriented driving and convey the thrill of the iconic MINI go-kart handling.

The MINI 60 edition also features the interior lighting package, on-board computer, automatic climate control air conditioning, rain sensor and storage compartment package on board.

The experience of driving the MINI 60 edition is further elevated with comfort access, front and rear park distance control, cruise control with braking function and performance control that maintains vehicle balance during dynamic handling.

The MINI 60 edition Cooper S 3-door is priced at RM255,888 (RM6,000 more than the standard Cooper S 3-door), on-the-road without insurance.

In celebration of MINI’s 60th anniversary, owners who purchase the MINI 60 edition from Aug 13 to Aug 31, 2019, can enjoy a 60-month service and repair inclusive programme.

The celebratory offer provides owners with 60 months or 80,000km (whichever comes first) of free scheduled service and 60 months of warranty with unlimited mileage.
