Over 70% units ParkCity, CapitaLand’s JV residential development sold

PARK Regent, ParkCity Property Holdings Sdn Bhd’s joint-venture (JV) development with CapitaLand Ltd, achieved strong sales at its priority launch in Kuala Lumpur on July 27 and July 28.

As of 6pm on the second day, over 70% of the 505 residential units were sold at an average selling price of RM1,100 per sq ft.

Located in the Desa ParkCity township, Park Regent offers six apartment types, ranging from one-bedroom units to four-bedroom units. The development is scheduled for completion in 2023.

ParkCity’s group CEO Datuk Joseph Lau said the township is currently home to an international community of approximately 16,000 residents.

“About 80% of these are Malaysians, while the balance is made up of a wide array of nationalities and expatriates. “Park Regent reflects ParkCity and CapitaLand’s commitment to creating differentiated products that suit the needs of customers,” he said in a statement.

He added that Park Regent is by far the most prestigious development in Desa ParkCity, raising the benchmark for the residential properties there.

“By listening to our buyers and loyalists, we crafted a product that would meet their expectations, as a result, we defied market trends by successfully launching Park Regent in a soft property market.”

CapitaLand Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia residential and retail CEO Ronald Tay said the positive response to Park Regent was very encouraging.

“The keen interest from homebuyers attests to the attractive qualities of Park Regent — well-designed, excellently located within one of the most coveted neighbourhoods in Malaysia’s capital, and supported by a host of community amenities and green spaces.

“We are confident that Park Regent will continue to see strong interest both locally and internationally,” he added.

Park Regent prices start from RM860,000 and apartment sizes range from 872 sq ft for a one-bedroom apartment to 4,887 sq ft for a four-bedroom apartment. A total of 80% of Part Regent buyers were locals, while the remaining ones are other nationalities including expatriates.

The Desa ParkCity township was recently accorded the prestigious Gold Winner of FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Award 2019 under the Master Plan category.

Overlooking a scenic lake, the two-towered residential development is centrally situated within the township, close to dining and retail outlets, as well as international schools.

Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), Petronas Twin Towers and the city’s new business district, Tun Razak Exchange, are a short drive away.

Designed by Serie+Multiply — a JV between London-based Serie Architects and Singapore-based Multiply Architects LLP, Park Regent is designed for residents to connect with their

families and recharge, while enjoying the tranquil greenery of its surroundings.

Facilities such as the Sky Gardens on the rooftop of every tower and the infinity pool on Level 3A offer residents the best views of the lush greenery.

All Park Regent apartments will come with balconies for quiet respite, while the larger three-bedroom and four-bedroom units will have private lift lobbies.
