THE 5th Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2019 will bring together strong momentum in developing the country’s business event tourism sector.

Organised by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), MBEW 2019 will take place on Aug 28, 2019, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Themed “Progressive Momentum”, MBEW 2019 is put in place by the national bureau with the significance of ensuring that Malaysia forges ahead progressively as Asia’s business events hub.

This momentum is powered by dynamic collaborations, the courage to constantly push limits and the need for every player to remind themselves that the industry’s professionalism bar must be continuously raised.

Moreover, MBEW 2019 will help participants to strengthen the business events industry in Malaysia through knowledge exchange and building relationships, and to elevate the professionalism of the Malaysian industry players to be on par with the international level.

Last year’s 4th edition of MBEW, which was held at Genting Highlands, recorded 175 participants comprising delegates from the industry, associations, academicians, the government and media partners.

MBEW 2019 offers tailored outline programmes to allow participants to share knowledge, establish new and influential contacts and be involved in the industry with experts through a series of talks.

Among the objectives that can be achieved by participating at MBEW 2019 are custom-designed programmes featuring a series of talks by industry experts.

This will expose participants to different points of views, ideas and trends, and concurrently create better collaborations and networking opportunities as well.

This will improve individual self-development which will lead to new ways of conducting more productive businesses and is a great way to maximise individual brands.

Moving towards sustainable event practices to reduce the usage of plastics and non-recyclable items, MBEW 2019 will feature a new initiative with the introduction of its new #mbeNOWASTAGE campaign.

As the initiative highlighted, participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles throughout the day.
