Mah Sing in BCI Asia’s Top 10 list again

MAH Sing Group Bhd was named Building and Construction Asia’s (BCI Asia) Top 10 Developers in Malaysia 2019, marking its ninth consecutive year being on the list against strong industry players.

Mah Sing CEO Datuk Ho Hon Sang said the achievement is a recognition of the hard work and dedication of all its employees.

“This recognition reinforces the group’s ongoing commitment and dedication in providing quality homes for the people, in line with our vision — inventing future living that enhances quality of life.

“Being recognised as Malaysia’s top 10 developers for the ninth year running is a humbling feat. We promise to continue to strive for excellence in enhancing the lives of our customers,” he said.

Its founder and group MD Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said as a market-driven developer, the company understands the need to develop quality and affordably priced homes to meet the present market’s needs.

“We are on the right track supported by the supply and demand gap in Malaysia as the group has shifted its focus to affordably priced homes in 2013 and will continue to do so in 2019.

“For this year, the group is geared up to continue to focus on affordable homes with strategic locations as 81% of our residential homes are priced below RM700,000,” he said.

To date, the group’s launches in 2019 have an estimated gross development value of RM2.2 billion, located in the Klang Valley, Johor and Penang.

Its Klang Valley launches include M Vertica, Cheras Tower 3 and 4 (highrise residential, starting from RM480,000); M Arisa, Sentul (high-rise residential, indicatively priced from RM350,000); Sensory Serviced Resi

dence, Southville City, KL South (highrise residential, indicatively priced from RM344,000); Basil @ M Aruna, Rawang (2-storey link homes, indicatively priced from RM500,000); Onyx Icon City, Petaling Jaya (a “wellness” enhanced corporate park, priced from RM1,600,000 onwards); and M Oscar, Happy Garden (serviced apartments, indicatively priced from RM428,000).

In Johor, the group has launched Hazel in Meridin East, Pasir Gudang (double-storey link homes, priced from RM487,000), and Orchid in Meridin East, Pasir Gudang (double-storey link homes, indicatively priced from RM463,000).

Meanwhile in Penang, they launched the Ferringhi Residence 2, Block B (high-rise residential, indicatively priced from RM1,149,800) and Southbay City, Upcoming Phase (highrise residential, indicatively priced from RM600,000).

The award ceremony, held on June 21, was to recognise the 10 leading development companies that have contributed significantly in developing the country’s structures in the past year.

Recipients of this year’s award were selected based on the aggregate value of projects from pre-tender stage (concept, design and documentation) to the post tender stage, as well as their efforts in integrating sustainability to their developments.
