MMHE appoints Ahmad Zakri as CFO

Malaysian Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MMHE) has appointed former Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) official Ahmad Zakri Md Salleh as its new CFO effective June 1.

Ahmad Zakri, 39, held various positions within Petronas with his last position as senior manager in Petronas Dagangan Bhd.

He will replace Nik Azlan Nik Abdul Aziz who resigned to pursue other opportunities, the loss-making firm informed in a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

Ahmad Zakri holds an Accounting and Finance degree from University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

He is also a member of Chartered Financial Analyst, Fellow Chartered Accountant of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and Chartered Accountant of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

MHHE’s stock closed one sen lower yesterday at RM0.66, valuing the company at RM1.06 billion.
