Starbucks Malaysia launches new seasonal Frappucinos

Starbucks Malaysia has launched three new seasonal Frappucino blended beverages in conjunction with its global summer campaign.

Starbucks Malaysia and Brunei operations head Steven Anthony Soosay said among the drinks, the Dark Caramel Coffee Frappucino is made for caramel fans with its layers of whipped cream and dark caramel, and topped with a spoonful of dark caramel.

“There’s a layer of whipped cream infused with cold brew, with its body made of white chocolate and dark caramel,” he said at the launch in Petaling Jaya yesterday.

The second drink, known as Triple Mocha Coffee Frappucino, would entice dessert and chocolate lovers.

“The beverage features layers of whipped cream. It is also infused with cold brew, dark caramel and a triple combination of white chocolate mocha, dark mocha and mocha drizzle,” Soosay said.

He added that the third drink offers a more refreshing take of the summer palate.

“This drink features pearls with real pomegranate juice which pops in your mouth, topping a mixed berry sauce blended with milk to create a smooth and fruity flavour.

“It is also topped off with whipped cream to soften the tartness of berry flavours,” he said.

The three new Frappucinos, priced from RM17.50, have hit Starbucks Malaysia stores yesterday.

The company also launched a new range of merchandise collection featuring tropical plants and island scenes, in collaboration with American fashion brand Vera Bradley.

Berjaya Food Bhd, which owns Starbucks Malaysia operator Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Co Sdn Bhd, posted a net profit of RM8.98 million for the third quarter ended Jan 31, 2019, against the previous net loss of RM10.85 million.

The improved performance was made possible by higher contribution from Berjaya Starbucks and improved performance from Kenny Rogers Roasters’ operations in the quarter.
