EXIM Bank Malaysia appoints Datuk Feizal Mustapha as new chairman

Recently appointed Widad Group Bhd chairman Datuk Feizal Mustapha has been appointed as Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd (EXIM Bank)’s new chairman effective April 9, 2019, the bank said in a statement today.

He succeeds Datuk Mat Noor Nawi who retired from the bank on September 30 last year.

Prior to joining EXIM Bank, Feizal served with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) for 19 years in various capacities and in different areas of the capital market which includes regulatory oversight and overall market development.

He later joined BDO Malaysia in 2012 as executive director, advisory and became chairman in 2015 until recently, who is now a director of the firm.

Feizal holds a Master in Business Administration (Finance) from Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, United Kingdom (UK), and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Stirling, UK.

He is also a fellow member of CPA Australia and member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA), Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia (IPAM) as well as Chartered Valuer and Appraiser, Institute of Valuers and Appraisers Singapore (IVAS).

Feizal is also member of the listing committee of Bursa Malaysia.

“EXIM Bank welcomes the appointment of Datuk Feizal Mustapha as the new chairman. With his vast experience in the corporate finance and advisory fields, his appointment is timely to continue and steer EXIM Bank to greater heights,” the bank said.
