Bioalpha Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Bioalpha International Sdn Bhd, has entered into a five-year distribution agreement with Silver Plus Manufacturing (Thailand) Co Ltd for the distribution of its house brand health supplement products in Thailand.

Under the distribution agreement, Silver Plus shall be granted exclusive rights to distribute Bioalpha’s products under the house brand “Apotec” to its client network in Thailand.

The range of products include functional food and health supplement products that may be infused with herbs like Tongkat Ali, Kacip Fatimah and Misai Kucing, among others.

“Entering Thailand is a strategic move that enables us to tap into not only the country’s huge population of 69 million people, but also the vast tourist segment,” Bioalpha MD William Hon said in a statement yesterday.

“Thailand has a fast-growing middle-income population with rising household income and consumer spending. Against this backdrop, we are optimistic of making inroads into Thailand this year,” he added. — TMR
